Love to a teenager
Love surrounds us human beings all the time, but we must consider the fact that love isn’t just from one person to another. It can be for an object, feeling, or even an idea. In every story that I have read in my life, I have found love in a manner that has been symbolized or shown in the carefully evaluated text. And from all this reading, I vowed to always find “love” in the story and I found myself falling in love with the dedication authors have to explaining a feeling, whether it be direct or indirect.
During the lockdown last year, I read “Becoming” by Michelle Obama and I can tell anyone who hasn’t read it is missing out on some big eyeopeners. Apart from the many things I learned from her story, I also learned something about love. The former first lady showed that she will always have a strong love for her family, friends, and the South Side of Chicago. But she also showed that she has a deep love for her country and using her voice. Like her, I have a love for something other than my family, friends and home. I also have a love for writing. How different could they really be? Her love for speaking her truth may be a love that drives her personality, while mine could be something that makes me feel free. In the end, I can deductively conclude that even though they may seem completely different, they makes us feel happy and complete.
