Symbolism

Towards late afternoon today, I went for a walk and saw the wind was blowing through the sage green grass. It was a mesmerizing view and the wind blowing through my hair made me feel like I had a free spirit. The wind was the biggest highlight of the experience. It made me think about the symbolic meaning of wind in this world. I came home and searched what wind symbolizes on the internet and found results saying that wind symbolizes the struggles that everyone faces and goes through at some point in their lives. As I read more and more about what people had to say, I began to feel a strong sense of disagreement. The wind that I felt made me feel like I had a powerful purpose and has made me very dedicated to fulfilling it. So, to me, wind symbolized having dedication and an understanding of what you want. After my mini experiment, I came to a conclusion on how the symbolic meaning of something can change based on what you feel. I thought that if we as people didn’t grow up knowing the symbolic meaning of something, then the symbolic meaning of something, like wind, can be personal to just us. Symbolism is a precious feeling of how we perceive the world.
