The Castle I Once Lived In

A poem for the lonely

The Castle I once lived in…

The castle I lived in went dark.
The darkness wasn’t there due to the absence of light,
but rather, the absence of love.
Was I ready to face the world so broken?
Was anyone ready?
I am broken for there is no love in my life,
why are you broken?
My castle, once filled with happiness, is an abyss.
An abyss of isolation.
This abyss has consumed me.
I am at the point of no return,
so run,
save yourself before the gravity of my abyss consumes you too,
or the castle you live in will go dark.
