The Lord — Part 5 : The dream will conclude soon, but not yet.

“Lord Kaido is waiting behind the door to speak with you, sir. His majesty says that he has some news for you that you would want to hear.” the secretary reports to the Minister.

“Tell him he can come and please, don’t listen behind the door.”

The Minister’s secretary leaves the room and in comes Lord Kaido looking emotionally distressed but keeping a sly smile of power. He bows and walks towards the old man. He takes a look around and sees that there’s nothing unusual and dangerous but of course the window. “Hello Kaido,” says the Minister, greeting him. “I’m used to the usual bow, considering my position in our hierarchy,” states Kaido showing no affection to his father. “I’m sorry,” the Minister said, trembling with fear of the pure blood’s powers. “No, I’m sorry. My mind is in a torment so I have been quite moody. I came here to tell you the agonizing news I have heard,” he starts off. “I know that you loved her dearly but so did I, only you made her a part of your game. So I did what had to be done and I ended her.”

“WHAT?” He shrieked from the news.

“Yes, Marcus, she’s dead.” Kaido says smiling.

The affliction that the news had brought to him was of no good. The pique made the critter inside. Marcus revealed itself. His body gets covered in varicose veins and begins to pop one by one, making his body covered in blood.

“Why?” He chokes out, “Why did you kill her? She was innocent.”

“Well, yes, she was innocent, until you made her a criminal by sending her to kill me.”

“She was being controlled by someone,” he cries out.

“I figured, but then I saw her sending messages through the chessboard, and her messages were intended to lure me into a trap.”

“How do you know that?”

“Well being pure blood has its perks. I used psychoscopy on her chess board when she was out one day trying to murder me!” Kaido yells. “I figured out your plan and I made mine. Welcome, Marcus, this is the fate of the humans like you who are haughty to anything that is different. Get ready to meet your coffin,” he concluded.

The Lord disappears from his place by the door and reappears with his fangs on the neck of the Minister taking his life. The window opens to the sound of Marcus’ helpless gasps for air and vampire Lord Kaido vanishes into the clouds.

The dream finds a conclusion.
