Why every new writer should watch this!

Just recently I watched an anime show called Violet Evergarden. It was about an orphan girl who was in the military since her childhood and gets injured badly. Without even knowing she gets freed from the military and goes to work for a post office company. In search of the meaning to a phrase she’s never heard before she becomes something called an Auto-Memories Doll. An Auto-Memories Doll is a girl that goes around the world for customers to write letters from one person to another. Her job is to write the emotions that people are feeling, the emotions that they can’t put into words.

Violet Evergarden (Her hair is kind of like mine)

In only a few episodes I have learned so much about writing myself. For me writing was always something that clicked, I didn’t know why. I learned that writing is the expression of a feeling and the answer to a thought. I also learned that as a writer I shouldn’t just look for a description of something I should look for the meaning behind something as simple as “I love you!”
